open a coin. pillbud tells you what it is.

A desktop companion that researches every coin you open, in seconds. It finds the tweet, video or story behind it and tells you if it’s real, a LARP or a copycat.

For Windows. The download opens at launch. Read-only, it never touches your wallet.

watch it read a coin

pillbud tells you what a coin is about, where it came from and whether it’s real. Pick one: these are reads it made on big live coins, open on Axiom.

    1. how it works

No extension, no wallet, no setup beyond the install.

    2. Install it

It sits in the bottom-right corner of your screen, with a tray icon for settings.

    3. Open a coin

In your browser, or as an address in Telegram, Discord or X.

    4. Get the read

What it is in 3 to 4 seconds, then who holds it and the verdict with receipts.

real, LARP or copycat. with receipts.

Every call shows its evidence and what would change it. The verdict is decided in code, and a check that can’t run says unknown, never clean.

    $NVIDIANVIDIA COIN
    likely LARP

“Hm, likely a LARP: it claims to be NVIDIA’s coin, but nothing from NVIDIA mentions it.”

    looks legit
A fair meme or tribute on something real.
    likely LARP
Poses as tied to a person, brand or project, and nothing backs it.
    copycat
An earlier coin on the same story is bigger, or it copies a big coin that already ran. A reused name or picture alone isn’t a copy.
    unverified
Not enough to say, and it tells you why.

      and who holds it

A real story can still have its supply in a few hands. A second stamp answers a different question: is it fair for someone getting in now?

      $COGEtwo minutes old
      rigged

“Insiders still hold 54%: the dev 6.5%, 7 launch buyers 47%. Selling that at once would drop the price about 96%.”

      fair
Spread over a real base of holders, with nothing left that can change the coin under you.
      too early
Too new or too few holders to say, and nothing in them that warns you.
      sketchy
Something you should know: the dev holding a real share, a linked group, launch buyers still in.

      does their app
      actually work?

When a coin says it has a product, pillbud opens its site in a hidden, throwaway browser on your PC and tries it. It takes 11 to 19 seconds.

It presses the site’s own way in once, and never anything that buys, connects a wallet, signs or downloads. It never types or submits anything.

it keeps watching after you look away

Alerts are pushed from the chain, not polled: the dev selling, a whale selling, a sharp move, a coin bonding. It watches the curve or pool, the dev wallets and the top 10 holders.

673 msfrom the block to pillbud’s whale alert, measured on a live coin. The median push lands about half a second after the block.
Do not disturb keeps it quiet. Questions still get answered.

      ask it anything
      about the coin

Hold Ctrl Alt and talk, or click and hold pillbud. Answers start in about a second and a half.

Dev, holders and bundles are there when you ask, not in your face. Say “research this” and it digs: who’s behind it, the story it rides, the dev’s last coins. Ask “does their app work?” and it tries it.

      it never touches
      your wallet

No wallet connection, no keys, no transactions. Here’s exactly what stays on your PC and what goes out.

      Stays on your PC

      What’s on your screen
Windows’ own OCR reads the window in front, only in browsers, Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Signal, Slack and TradingView. The text never leaves your PC; only a coin it finds is looked up. Switch it off in the tray.
      Your other tabs
It reads the address bar only, and drops anything that isn’t a coin page without logging it.
      Your wallet and keys
Never connected, never asked for. Nothing to sign, nothing to approve.

      Goes out, and where

      beeps or silent

pillbud types out what it finds, with little character beeps that follow the mood. Rather keep it quiet? Switch to silent in the tray.

Pitch follows the mood: happy on a pump, a curious “hm?” on a LARP.

      No wallet, no extension

An .exe from a coin should make you careful. Here’s how to check this one.

      • Read the code. pillbud is open source, so anyone can check what it does before running it. View the source
      • Check the file. The SHA-256 and a VirusTotal scan are posted with every release.
      • One place to get it. Only from this site or the link pinned on @pillbud.
      • It never asks for keys. If something claiming to be pillbud asks for a seed phrase or a private key, it isn’t pillbud.

      questions

      Anything else, ask @pillbud.

      Does pillbud touch my wallet?

No. It has no wallet connection and nothing to sign. It reads public coin data and tells you what it sees. It never asks for a seed phrase or a private key.

What does it read on my screen?

The address bar of the browser in front, and the text of the window in front in browsers, Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Signal, Slack and TradingView, through Windows’ built-in OCR, on your PC. Games, editors, terminals, password managers and Office are never captured. It skips password fields, the lock screen, minimized windows and video tabs. The text never leaves your PC, and you can turn both off in the tray.

Will it tell me what to trade?

No. It describes what’s going on and what the evidence says. Lines that tell anyone to trade are dropped in code before they reach you.

      How fast is it?

From a browser tab, pillbud tells you what the coin is in 3 to 4 seconds. The holder stamp lands about a second after you open it and the linked wallets about five seconds in. The full verdict, with the X and web research, takes 10 to 15 seconds, and trying a coin’s app 11 to 19. Live alerts arrive about half a second after the block.

Will it slow my PC down?

It holds still between short bursts of motion, and measured about 8% of one CPU core while visible and idle. It only animates at full speed while it types or reacts.

      Is pillbud open source?

Yes. The code is on GitHub under the MIT license, so anyone can read what it does, build it or run it with their own keys. The pillbud character stays ours.

      Does it work on Mac?

Not yet. It uses Windows’ own tab reading and OCR, so it’s Windows only for now.

      Is it free?

Yes, all of it: the read, the full LARP check with X and web research, the product test, the holder stamp and linked wallets, the fee check, live alerts, questions and deep research. The $PILLBUD creator fees pay for the research it runs.

Can I change how it looks?

Yes, in the tray. Balloon look has eight styles: pillbud, Dark, Clean white, Mint, Toy bubble, Game dialog, Sticker and Classic. Balloon size goes from Small to Extra large, and pillbud himself stays put.

      What is $PILLBUD?

pillbud’s coin. The contract address will be posted here and on @pillbud at launch. Check that both match before you trust any address.
